Meeting Minutes

The Riders of American Legion Chapter 136 ride to promote and support programs of the American Legion and the local community. They support our Veterans by visiting patients at Veterans Administration (VA) Hospitals. They stop in to keep them company and lift their spirits.  The Riders also providing Welcome Home Celebrations for military member who return from hostile areas.  They also have  Send Offs for our military members who deploy to hostile areas. You can often see them riding in parades, too.  In addition, they actively support charities that are directly related to Veterans or Veterans Programs. They always keep with the aims and purposes of the American Legion.

The American Legion Riders - Chapter 136 are part of the broader social setting and help provide a special atmosphere for American Legion members. They share the same interests and do their part to  keep POW/MIA issues alive.

We continually look for new ideas to support Veterans, their families, and the community. The state of Kansas dedicated State highway 53 to the Patriot Guard and they work to keep it clean. They also host Veterans Appreciation Day and provide invaluable support to the post and our canteen.
